The Pilgrimage of the Heart Yatra 2027 runs Feb 11 – Feb 21, 2027: Kolkata from Feb 11 to Feb 15, then Sri Dhama Mayapur from Feb 15 to Feb 21. All pilgrims are required to join both phases — it is one shared journey from start to finish.
The yatra covers Kolkata Dhama and Sri Dhama Mayapur in West Bengal, India.
The yatra is led by His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa. Before registering, please watch his welcome video on the Register page — it explains the mood and purpose of the yatra.
The Pilgrimage of the Heart (POTH) Yatra is a devotional pilgrimage to the holy dhamas of Kolkata and Mayapur, traveling in the association of devotees and hearing the pastimes of the Lord in each sacred place.
The fee is charged per room: US$ 1,000 per adult (18 years and above), US$ 500 per child (ages 2 to 17) and free for children under 2 (ages as on Feb 11, 2027). Rooms are shared: a single adult is paired with another devotee, and a family with one adult and children is paired with another adult in the room. There is no supplement and there are no private rooms. Extra mattresses are charged per room. The Fee Calculator on the Yatra Details and Registration pages gives an estimate for your room; the final amount is confirmed in your acceptance email.
The charges include boarding, prasadam, local transport and donations at temples. Not included: transport to and from the airport (borne by participants), and your passport, visa, flights into and out of India, and travel and medical insurance, which you arrange yourself.
The Yatra fee is a single combined amount: US$ 1,000 per adult (18 years and above), US$ 500 per child (ages 2 to 17) and free for children under 2. It covers accommodation, prasadam (meals), local transport and donations at temples together. The Yatra team does not provide a breakdown of the individual costs, such as separate rates for the hotel or for food.
Yatra fees can be paid via Zelle or PayPal — the Zelle handle and PayPal address will be shared by the yatra coordinators by email. Please note: registration is confirmed only after the full fee is paid by the due date the coordinators set. Partial payments do not hold a place, and an unpaid spot is offered to the next devotee on the waitlist.
October 23, 2026. Please complete your registration well before the deadline — places are limited.
Registration is by invitation only — you need an invitation token from the yatra coordinators. Fill one form per person on the Register page before the October 23, 2026 deadline. Submitting the form is a request, not a confirmation; the coordinators review each application and will let you know whether your place is confirmed, waitlisted, or not possible this time.
Yes — the yatra is invitation-only, and each invitation token is bound to the email address(es) it was issued to. Please do not forward your invitation, token, or the registration link to others; a forwarded token will not work for them.
A token only works with the email address it was issued to — please enter the token exactly as given and use the same email address your invitation was sent to. If it still does not verify, write to pilgrimageoftheheart@googlegroups.com and the coordinators will help.
Yes. Please fill one form per person — for example, yourself, your spouse and one child means three forms. After you submit the first form, you can register the next member with your shared details pre-filled, and everyone registered under your family token is grouped as one party.
Yes, children are welcome as participants and are registered by a parent or guardian — the person filling the form must be 18 years or older. Children aged 2 to 17 pay half the adult fee, and children under 2 are free.
They are for two different people. Question 4 asks the date of birth of the person filling the form (who must be 18 or older). Question 19 asks the date of birth of the person you are registering. If you are registering yourself, the two dates are the same.
On the Home page, use the "Check your application status" box: enter the Application Number from your registration confirmation email and you will see whether your application is Applied, Selected – Payment Pending, Confirmed, Waitlisted or Rejected.
You will receive a confirmation email with your Application Number — please save it. The coordinators then review your application and email you their decision (confirmed, waitlisted, or not possible this time), along with the fee payment due date if your place is confirmed.
Please book your own flights into and out of India, and arrange your commute from the airport to your place of stay in Kolkata. Once you have been selected, please add your flight details on your My Yatra page (sign in with your Application Number and registration email) so the coordinators can plan pickups and arrivals — you can update them any time.
Rooms are shared, with a maximum of two adults per room as required by the hotels. On the registration form you can request a shared room with your immediate family, or a shared room with a same-gender devotee.
If you have a medical condition that needs approval from your doctor to travel, please indicate it on the form and upload the clearance documents in the medical section of the registration form (PDF, JPG or PNG), and also send a copy to pilgrimageoftheheart@googlegroups.com.
Yes. Medical information is used only in an emergency and is seen only by the designated yatra coordinators — never shared with other participants or posted in group chats. It is permanently deleted, including uploaded documents, within 30 days after the Yatra ends (by March 23, 2027); the only exception is records connected to a medical incident, kept only until that matter is resolved.
Please contact the yatra coordinators at pilgrimageoftheheart@googlegroups.com as early as possible. If you cancel, they will attempt to give you the maximum refund possible depending on the date you cancel, processed within 4 weeks of the Yatra’s completion.
Yes. If places fill or a confirmed spot is not paid by its due date, it is offered to the next devotee on the waitlist. The coordinators will email you if your application is waitlisted or a place opens for you.
Yes — the registration form asks what seva or service you are willing to do during the yatra. Mention any area where you feel your service will be helpful; the coordinators will get back to you if a match is found.
Yes — the Blog tab on this site carries stories and photos from previous yatras by His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa. The Home page also shows a group photo under "Glimpses from the Yatra".
The yatra is invitation-only. The registration form asks whether the participant is initiated, and whether they are strictly following the four regulative principles and chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa Mahamantra regularly.
Write to pilgrimageoftheheart@googlegroups.com.
No. This yatra visits Kolkata and Sri Dhama Mayapur only — Puri and Vrindavan are not part of the 2027 itinerary.
The yatra centers on increased sankirtana in the service of the dhama: harinama, book distribution, prasadam distribution, ongoing Kṛṣṇa katha, and visits to holy places.
Since October 1, 2025, every foreign traveller entering India must fill a digital Disembarkation (DE) Card online within 72 hours before arrival — at indianvisaonline.gov.in/earrival or on the Indian Visa Suswagatam app. Indian citizens do not need it. You fill it once, for your first port of arrival in India, and it is not needed when departing.
Apply for an e-Visa or visa online through indianvisaonline.gov.in. Keep your passport valid at least six months beyond the trip — some airlines will not let you board otherwise. The full FAQ document (linked on the FAQ page) lists the official websites.
You can give the Yatra Co-ordinator Manoranjan Das: WhatsApp +91 9437633073, mobile +91 7978417180. His full postal address for the form is in the FAQ document linked on the FAQ page.

Yes — in India it is advisable to carry a hard copy of your electronic tickets.
Yes — ask the cabin crew for the immigration form (for non-Indian citizens) and the customs declaration form; filling them on the plane saves time after landing. Keep a pen handy. Foreign travellers also complete the digital DE Card online before arrival.
The hotel is about 5 minutes from Kolkata airport (CCU). Please come to the hotel reception after you arrive.
Book your own taxi with Suman Prabhu (phone +91 95934 11990) — call or text him directly for the Mayapur to Kolkata airport (CCU) trip, including on the departure day, Feb 21.
The easiest place is the airport arrival hall, right after customs. You will need your passport, visa and a passport-size photo. Activation can take from a few hours up to 48 hours.
Yes — the yatra arranges transport for the scheduled visits to holy places in the dhama.
In Kolkata: Hotel Soot (also called Soot by O2), 643 VIP Road, Kaikhali — about 1 km from the airport; check-in 2 pm, check-out 12 noon. In Mayapur: the Vaishnav Academy, Prabhupada Village and Ishodayan, all close to the main ISKCON campus.
Yes — all rooms in Kolkata and Mayapur have Western-style toilets.
Connectivity at the stays is not great. Many devotees get an Indian SIM card and use it as a personal hotspot — SIM cards are available at the airport on arrival.
In Kolkata, your room number is given at the Hotel Soot reception. For Mayapur, room details are announced on the bus before you arrive. One key is provided per room — if you share, please leave the key at reception when you go out.
Hotels do provide towels, but devotees usually prefer to bring their own gamcha or towel. If toiletries are missing in your Mayapur room, the yatra can arrange them from local stores.
The daily program usually ends around 7 pm, and you may shop after that. If the schedule allows, extra shopping time will be announced.
First contact the hotel reception (in Kolkata or Mayapur), then the Yatra Organizers. There are drug stores, clinics and hospitals in both Kolkata and Mayapur.
Keep your phone and valuables safe — phone theft is common. Female devotees should avoid secluded lanes and travel in groups after dark. Put donations in the donation box rather than handing them over, and please do not litter in the dhama.
Please confirm the current requirements with your airline, bring a Covid self-test kit, follow the protocols applicable during the yatra, and reach out to the Yatra Organizers if in doubt.
It means preventive measures against malaria — for example antimalarial medication, insect repellent and protective clothing. The registration form asks whether you are carrying it. The CDC page on choosing a malaria drug is linked in the FAQ document.
Prasadam is arranged where you stay: in Kolkata at the hotel, and in Mayapur at the Vaishnava Academy opposite the Gosala. Meal timings vary with the daily program and are announced a day ahead, so please keep some snacks with you. On your arrival day in Kolkata, prasadam is arranged for you.
Please ask a fellow devotee to pack prasadam for you in the tiffin box you brought — there are no to-go boxes. It also helps to keep some snacks with you in case timings shift.
Feb 21 is departure day and there are no programs. Packed breakfast, lunch and dinner are available in the morning on request.
Unfortunately, meals specific to individual dietary needs are not provided. If something about prasadam quality concerns you, please contact the Yatra Organizers rather than the caterers.
Milk is available at your own expense: in Kolkata, ask the hotel reception at check-in; in Mayapur, contact the Gosala opposite the Vaishnava Academy.
Water dispensers will be arranged — please bring your own water bottle to refill.
Once your participation is confirmed, you will be added to the WhatsApp group POTH-2027-Yatris. There is also a Google Group for participants, 2027-yatra-participants@googlegroups.com, and the coordinators are at pilgrimageoftheheart@googlegroups.com.
